– Our Journey
Antony Siese FCOptom opened his practice on August 15th 1978. It later became Antony Siese Ltd and grew to become a small but reliable practice who many love and respect. In 2009, a young optometry student, Wannita Benjamin, joined the practice as a summer student. She continued to shadow Mr Siese during her holiday breaks for the next three years. During this time, she got to know many of his patients and they got to know her.
After qualifying in 2012, Wannita returned to Bermuda, purchased the practice and renamed it Vision Care. This transition from one optometrist to another was smooth, with the main beneficiaries being the patients. Mr Siese fully retired in 2016 after 60 plus years in optics! With a vision to expand and differentiate the practice, Wannita decided a new name and location was soon to come.
During our five year anniversary celebration (October 2017), the practice name was officially changed to SPEXX. In 2018, we renovated and moved into the beautiful practice you see today. As we grow year to year, we continue to celebrate not only continued dedication to the visual wellbeing of the Bermuda community but our loyal patients as well. Exciting things are happening at this progressive practice. We welcome not only our current patients but new patients as well. Come be a part of the Spexx family!
